Girard Sharp attorneys Dena Sharp and Scott Grzenczyk will be presenting at the 13th Annual Private Antitrust Enforcement Conference and Antitrust Enforcement Awards Dinner, a yearly event organized by the American Antitrust Institute (AAI). The event will take place on November 12 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
Dena is slated to moderate a panel discussion entitled “Six years after FTC v. Actavis: how courts have implemented the landmark decision and what lies ahead for generic delay cases.” In Actavis, the Supreme Court established a framework for antitrust analysis of “reverse payments” that artificially extend patent monopolies at the expense of consumers.
Scott has been selected as one of three panelists for the Young Lawyers Breakfast who will discuss their experiences as young antitrust attorneys and what has allowed them to succeed in the profession.
Dena is a member of the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association (ABA) and was elected to the American Law Institute in 2018. She has previously spoken at such events as the Impact Fund Class Action Conference and the Judicial Training Symposium for Federal Judges. Scott is also a member of the ABA’s Antitrust Section and often contributes content for ABA publications.
The Private Antitrust Enforcement Conference is an independent, nonprofit event devoted to promoting competition that protects consumers, businesses, and society. It aims to serve the public through research, education, and advocacy on the benefits of competition and the use of antitrust enforcement as a vital component of national and international competition policy.
