More Information on the 1inMM Capital Investigation

Zachary Horwitz and 1inMM are alleged to have falsely claimed that they sold film rights to Netflix and HBO. Horwitz and his company allegedly manufactured fake emails and fabricated agreements with prominent media companies. In reality, neither Horwitz nor his company ever dealt with Netflix or HBO.

On April 5, 2021, the SEC filed a complaint against Horwitz and 1inMM for violating the antifraud provisions of the federal securities laws. The SEC alleges that Horwitz and 1inMM promised investors returns of over 35% and, in Ponzi-like fashion, used new investments to pay returns to existing investors who understood that the funds derived from film deals.

Horwitz also allegedly misused investor funds for personal use, including the purchase of fancy cars, Las Vegas getaways, and a multi-million-dollar home. The SEC reports that the capital contributed by investors to 1inMM Capital may now be gone.
