Dell Laptop Hinge Product Defect Investigation

10.19.2020

Girard Sharp is investigating reports of a product defect in Dell laptops that causes the computer’s hinge to bend or pop out of position and break.

Consumers have reported that the hinges break after only a few months of use, preventing them from opening or using their laptop. Consumers have also reported that Dell refuses to fix the broken hinge, leaving them with an inoperable computer.

The defect appears to affect Dell laptop model G3 15 3590. Other models may be affected as well.
