More Information on the Activision Investigation

On July 21, 2021, California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing filed a complaint against Activision alleging discrimination against its female employees. The complaint alleges that a “pervasive frat boy workplace culture” resulted in sexual harassment and other inappropriate behavior toward women employed at the company.

The lawsuit follows a two-year investigation by the agency, which found that Activision discriminated against female employees with respect to conditions of employment, including compensation, assignment, promotion, and termination and failed to prevent discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
