More Details on the Affirm Holdings Investigation

Affirm Holdings, Inc. posted a tweet on February 10, 2022 regarding its financial results from its fiscal quarter which ended on December 31, 2021. The tweet came from the company’s official account and contained metrics from its upcoming planned release of quarterly results. These metrics indicated a very successful quarter and a 77% increase in revenue. Affirm’s share price went up nearly 10% as a result.

The tweet was then deleted and Affirm released its full fiscal quarter financial results, showing a loss of $0.57 per share. With this news, Affirm’s share price fell $24.89 per share from an intra-day high of $83.57 per share to close at $58.68 per share on February 10, 2022. This substantial drop in Affirm’s share price caused losses for many investors.
