More Information on the Injuries Caused by Apple Watches
Since at least 2016, consumers have reported serious burns or injuries caused by wearing an Apple Watch. In some instances, wearers report sustaining 2nd degree burns or being taken to a hospital emergency room. The reports are not limited to any specific model of watch and reportedly may be caused by the watch’s blood oxygen sensor. Despite Apple’s reported knowledge of this problem, they have not officially addressed it. The company reportedly continues to insist that any irritation caused by the watch is a result of an allergic reaction or from wearing the watch too tightly and not cleaning it regularly.
