More Details on the Chrysler Pacifica Fire Risk

Public reports of 2017-2018 Pacifica plug-in hybrid minivans catching on fire have begun to emerge. All of the Pacifica vehicles that caught fire were parked and turned off; some were charging at the time.

Stellantis, formerly known as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, issued a recall of almost 20,000 Chrysler vehicles related to these problems. The company advised vehicle owners to stop recharging them, and to park them away from structures and other vehicles.

There is currently no remedy in place to fix the potential Chrysler Pacifica defect.
