More Details on Ford Mustang Battery Problems

Consumers have reported battery-related failures in certain Ford Mustang Mach-E models. Due to a potential defect, the batteries in Mustang Mach-E vehicles may overheat and stop suddenly, including on steep downhills. The problem may be related to regenerative braking technology.

There are also reports that Mach-E batteries are slow to charge. This vehicle battery, produced by LG Electronics, shares design similarities with the Chevy Bolt EV battery that was recently recalled due to overheating that caused the batteries to catch fire.
