Lakeview Data Breach Investigation
Girard Sharp attorneys are investigating reports of a data breach that occurred at mortgage loan servicer, Lakeview Loan Servicing, LLC. Lakeview announced that an unauthorized person or group gained access to customer information stored on Lakeview’s file storage servers. The exposed data includes names, addresses, loan numbers, and Social Security numbers.
The breach is reported to have exposed the personal information of over 2.5 million people.

More Information on the Lakeview Breach
Lakeview services mortgage loans by processing payments, managing the escrow, and providing customer service. Around March 16, 2022, Lakeview began mailing notice of the data breach to affected persons. Within the notice, Lakeview explains that there was a security incident that involved unauthorized access to its file servers and was identified in early December 2021. The notice also explains that the unauthorized person or group gained access from October 27, 2021 through December 7, 2021. Lakeview’s file servers contain personal and sensitive information of customers and Lakeview is now suggesting the affected customers take preventative measures to safeguard their private information.
