Pingora Data Breach Investigation

Girard Sharp attorneys are investigating reports of a data breach that occurred at mortgage loan servicer, Pingora Loan Servicing, LLC. Pingora announced that an unauthorized person or group gained access to customer information stored on Pingora’s file storage servers.  The exposed data includes names, addresses, loan numbers, and Social Security numbers.

More Information on the Pingora Breach

Pingora Asset Management LLC is a specialized asset manager focused on investing in and servicing of new production performing mortgage servicing right (“MSR”) portfolios. On April 6, 2022, Pingora began mailing notice of the data breach to affected persons. Within the notice, Pingora explains that there was a security incident that involved unauthorized access to its file servers and was identified in early December 2021. The notice also explains that the unauthorized person or group gained access from October 27, 2021 through December 7, 2021. Pingora’s file servers contain personal and sensitive information of customers and Pingora is now suggesting the affected customers take preventative measures to safeguard their private information.
