More Information on Silicon Sage Builders
Silicon Sage Builders, a real estate company based in Sunnyvale, California, claims to focus on developing large, multi-family units in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The SEC on December 21, 2020 filed a complaint against Silicon Sage Builders alleging a $119 million securities fraud scheme that targeted members of the South Asian community in the Bay Area. According to the SEC’s complaint, from 2016 to 2019, all but one of Silicon Sage Builders’ projects did not generate enough money to pay investors their promised returns.
The SEC alleges Silicon Sage Builders in fact paid investors with funds from new investors while fostering the false belief among its investors that their investment income derived from actual development projects. The investors are unlikely to be made whole, given Silicon Sage Builders’ current financial status.
