Subaru Oil Leak Investigation
Girard Sharp is investigating reports that Subaru sold vehicles with engines prone to oil leaks. The following vehicle models may have this problem:
- Subaru Forester (2011 forward)
- Subaru Legacy (2013 forward)
- Subaru Outback (2013 forward)
- Subaru CrossTrek (2021 forward)
Consumers have reported oil leaks from the front camshaft cap or the camshaft carrier. The Subaru FB25 2.5L engine is reportedly especially prone to this problem. Repairs may require the entire engine to be lifted from the vehicle, costing vehicle owners and lessees up to $4,000.
